LA SOSPECHOSA
research and creation with regard to the body
Presentation:
La Sospechosa, founded in 2000 by Constanza Brncic Monsegur, Carme Torrent i Arnau and Oriol Blanch Sigüenza, is a non-profit-making association that carries out diverse investigative and creative projects focused on the body.
Since 1996 La Sospechosa’s artistic team has collaborated on various projects related to stage arts, performance and social theatre. In 2002 they launch the transdisciplanary research project pa ck, setting up a non-permanent workgroup that produces, manages and creates various projects which share a common interest in the body, improvisation and movement.
Since its foundation, La Sospechosa has produced numerous dance and theatre projects, installations and performances, which have been presented in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Holland, Germany, Argentina and Peru.
Collaborations
During this period, La Sospechosa has collaborated with groups like: Colectivo IBA, founded by Agustí Fernández, Joan Saura, Liba Villavechia and Andrés Corchero, and is currently made up by Alfredo Costa Monteiro, Ruth Barberan and Ferran Fages; the Raravis company/Andrés Corchero/Rosa Muñoz and Associación Sudansa. It has also collaborated with artists of diverse disciplines such as: Gabriel Brncic, Clara Garí, Núria Font, Hisako Horikawa, Matt Davis, Ferran Conangla, Anna Subirana and Imma Udina among others, along with the engineer and professor of telecommunications, Francesc Tarrès and the engineer Gerard Vilardell.
